My dilemma is this: I was just sure when I set with my bride-to-be looking for rings that I would come back home afterward and find the same one online for thousands less. So far, I have not. She is in love with a three stone setting with the center one encircled with about 15 smaller diamonds and about 3 more small diamonds on each side of the three stone stone setting, for a total of 22 diamonds at about 2 carats. Plus, the three main stones are cushion cut (square). It's the radiant star from Helzberg. I would like to find a VERY SIMILAR setting somewhere. The other thing I am toiling with is that the three main diamonds have 145 facets each. Is that something that adds value and brilliance? Or is that just a sales ploy? Anyone know if that's something that you can easily find online? Any ideas on where to find or customize this somewhat rare ring setting cheaper than a retailer??? Again, it's a three stone (cushion-square), encircled main diamond, and paved with 3 on each side of the main 3. I wanted to use Blue Nile, but they just didn't have the setting she likes and even if I find the setting, how important will it be to find the three-stones with 145 facets? She just had to choose the only engagement setting |
